On the road 24/7 to ensure safety and flow
Our responsibility is to ensure that highways operate reliably and safely over time. This relies on disciplined day-to-day operations and strong field expertise.
A complete operational scope
From urban mobility corridors to long-distance highways, we cover the full operational scope. Our teams manage traffic supervision, incident response, customer services and infrastructure upkeep across varied operating contexts. This breadth of experience allows us to adapt our methods to each network’s specific traffic patterns, risk profile and regional expectations.
Embedding technology into road performance
Technology plays a central role in how we operate our roads. Integrated systems provide continuous visibility on traffic, weather and incidents, supporting faster and more precise interventions. In Greece, our predictive AI for tunnel systems has strengthened reliability through anticipatory maintenance. On Via Salis in the Czech Republic, our advanced monitoring systems have helped establish a new national benchmark for highway supervision and dynamic driver information.

A service-driven operator
At VINCI Highways, service strategy starts with a clear understanding of how each network is used. Traffic patterns and mobility needs vary from one corridor to another. We design our services accordingly, aligning signage, rest areas, freight facilities and user communication with actual demand. This close calibration ensures that service quality reflects real usage conditions and supports a smoother, more reliable journey. Our standards are regularly recognized through industry awards across our network.

A community of road excellence
Road operations are the core of VINCI Highways DNA. More than 80% of our employees work directly in customer services, traffic or maintenance. Our VINCI Highways Community of Operational Excellence brings together our experts from all concessions, enabling regular exchanges, site visits and cross-network collaboration. Experience gained in one country is shared with others, allowing proven practices to be adapted and deployed across different operating environments.
Operational expertise for complex challenges
Discover how we perform across demanding environments, from dense urban networks to extreme climatic constraints.

Preventing congestion
In high-demand urban corridors, maintaining traffic flow requires swift intervention capacity. We deploy advanced detection systems and adapt tolling technologies to support steady flow, as demonstrated at Lima Expresa and Northwest Parkway.

Securing strategic routes
On long-distance highways in Brazil, our operations include healthcare support as part of roadside assistance. Our intervention protocols ensure rapid incident management, protect road users and maintain continuity of traffic across extended corridors.

Keeping traffic moving in winter
We operate highways exposed to major winter intensity in North America and Central Europe. This has shaped a strong winter culture within our teams. We adapt technologies and strategies, to ensure maximum road availability and safety.
Safeguarding exceptional structures
Operating bridges requires specialized capabilities. On the Rio–Antirrio Bridge in Greece, in a seismic marine environment, we rely on a sensor network, real-time structural monitoring and coordinated land, sea and underwater inspections to assess behaviour and anticipate maintenance needs. On the Confederation Bridge in Canada, annual inspections using custom-built equipment further illustrate our expertise in managing major structures under demanding conditions.
Maintaining high quality over the long term
Committed to keeping our roads performant over time, we invest continuously to maintain high standards. Technologies help us anticipate maintenance needs, especially for pavement renovation programs where safety, comfort and durability are key. On Via Pribina highway in Slovakia, opened in 2012, a full asphalt resurfacing, to be completed in 2026, illustrates the long-term performance of the country’s first PPP.
